On August 27, 2018 the MBLLC proudly recognized Chief Manuel "Manny" Febo as the first Latino to lead Holyoke Massachusetts' police department. State Representatives Aaron Vega and Carlos Gonzalez, both members of the MBLLC, presented Chief Febo with House and Senate citations honoring his historic appointment. The citations serve as a formal recognition from the full MBLLC membership and Holyoke State Senator Don Humason.
Rising through the ranks over the years, he has shown his community what is possible through hard work and commitment. He will serve as a strong leader, role model, and inspiration to many throughout western Massachusetts.
