On Thursday, November 7, 2019 the MBLLC met with House Speaker Robert DeLeo to discuss a range of priorities including diversity, housing, transportation, and more. With important legislation and budget matters coming before the legislature, the meeting was critically important in order to ensure leadership is aware of how Black and Latinx populations would be affected by the proposals.

While the Caucus has met with Speaker DeLeo previously, the meeting was particularly successful as the two offices agreed to begin meeting on a more regular basis similar to the reoccurring quarterly meetings the Caucus holds with Governor Baker.
