On May 21, 2018 the MBLLC convened at the State House to advocate for the implementation of a P.O.S.T. system here in Massachusetts. The system would allow for greater accountability by allowing the State to determine if an individual can exercise the duties and privileges of a law enforcement officer. A full room of advocates sat attentively listening to a distinguished panel consisting of Professor Roger Goldman of St. Louis University School of Law, State Representative Russell Holmes of Boston, Sophia Hall of the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights, Rahsaan Hall of the ACLU Massachusetts, and Police Chief Brian Kyes of Chelsea.
