On December 11, 2015, the MBLLC partnered with the Urban League of Eastern Massachusetts in their State of Black Massachusetts report release. This year, the report highlighted the education, wealth, and public health disparities Massachusetts’ communities of color face. The event was moderated by MBLLC Chair, Rep. Russell Holmes, and panelists included Chief of Economic Development for the City of Boston, John Barros; Margaret McKenna, President of Suffolk University; Harold D. Cox, Associate Dean of Public Health Practice at Boston University School of Public Health; Ana Patricia Muñoz, Director of Community Development Research at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston; and Tufts University Professor, Dr. Peniel E. Joseph.
